MILESTONES AND MEMORIES
EON FM (later 3MMM) started broadcasting in Melbourne 41 years ago this week. Their first song was the Eagles’ New Kid In Town.

Renée Geyer, Smoky Dawson, The Easybeats, Hunters & Collectors, Normie Rowe and Split Enz were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame this week in 2005.

Ten years ago this week, to mark 50 years of the Adult Contemporary chart, Billboard ranked the Top 100 AC songs of all time, with Savage Garden at number one with Truly Madly Deeply.

Five years ago this week, Peter Garrett released his first solo album, A Version Of Now.

And we remember Dragon singer Marc Hunter, who died of throat cancer, aged 44, this week in 1998.
