MILESTONES AND MEMORIES

Forty years ago this week, Cold Chisel’s Flame Trees entered the Top 40.

Twenty years ago this week, Missy Higgins released her debut album, The Sound of White. It would spend seven weeks at number one.

Ten years ago this week, Vance Joy’s debut album, Dream Your Life Away, was released.

Happy Birthday to Barry Gibb who is 78 on September 1. Bob Spencer (Skyhooks, The Angels, Rose Tattoo) is 67, and Ash Grunwald is 48, on September 5.

And we remember the great Darryl Cotton, who would have been 75 on September 4. He died in 2012.
