MILESTONES AND MEMORIES
AC/DC’s first single with singer Brian Johnson, You Shook Me All Night Long, entered the Australian charts this week in 1980.

This week in 2004, Corporation Lane in Melbourne was officially renamed ACDC Lane to honour AC/DC. Lord Mayor John So said: “As the song says, there is a highway to hell, but this is a laneway to heaven. Let us rock.”

Midnight Oil wore “Sorry” suits when they performed at the closing ceremony of the Sydney Olympics this week in 2000.

Jet released their second album, Shine On, this week in 2006.

The Hunters & Collectors tribute album, Crucible, was released this week in 2013.

And we remember the great Olivia Newton-John who would have been 74 on September 26.
